LAMPPrimerBank
LAMPPrimerBank
has been developed as
the result of a collaborative project between
UINA Lab and
Heiderlab
.
LAMPPrimerBank
is an online, manually curated database dedicated to experimentally validated loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) primers and their details of assays and accompanying literature for diagnosing respiratory pathogens.
LAMPPrimerBank
provides an intuitive, user-friendly interface, implying functions for browsing, searching, grouping, and downloading data that expedite the exploration of experimentally validated LAMP primers from the massively scattered literature, and the comparison of newly designed primers with the published, screened ones.
Readout Systems for DNAzymes
Analysis of the activity of DNAzymes are usually achieved by radio-autography of radiolabeled substrates. Such traditional methods have disadvantages such as unavailability of radioactive equipment in many labs. To avoid radioactive labeling, researchers are either performing reactions at preparative scales or new readout systems are required.
UINA Lab presented how semi-preparative activity of a DNAzyme relates to its standard activity that has been performed under radioactive conditions. You may read the results at Biochimie, 2019, DOI: 10.1016/J.BIOCHI.2019.07.022 .
UINA Lab has contributed for development of DMLR in collaboration with Department of Genetics of University of Isfahan and blue-white screening system for DNAzymes in collaboration with Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Isfahan.
You may read about DMLR at Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2020, DOI: 10.1016/J.BBRC.2020.01.075
You may read about a blue-white screening system for DNAzymes at RSC advances, 2017, DOI: 10.1039/C7RA09679H
Further methods on development of novel readout systems for DNAzymes activity are currently under development in UINA Lab.
Nucleic Acid based Lateral Flow Assays
UINA Lab has achievements in developing lateral flow assays for detection of ssDNA molecules. You may read about development of DNA-only LFAs that have been developed in UINA Lab in collaboration with Rojan Azma and Tarbiat Modarres University, Tehran, at
Analytical Biochemistry, 2017
, and
Applied Biological Chemistry, 2017
.
More antibody based LFAs are currently being developed in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and universities.
GQ based biosensors
UINA Lab is developing detection systems that perform upon special aspects of DNA G-quadruplexes. UniAmPER and TeHyP based sensors for microRNAs have been reported from UINA Lab.
You may read about UniAmPER at Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2022, DOI: 10.1016/J.SNB.2022.131409
You may read about TeHyP based biosensor for microRNAs at Analytical methods, 2020, DOI: 10.1039/C9AY02517K
DNAzymeBuilder
DNAzymeBuilder is developed in collaboration with IIMCB at Warsaw and is a web application for in silico design of DNA catalysts. DNAzymeBuilder is available at: https://www.genesilico.pl/DNAzymeBuilder/
You may read how DNAzymneBuilder is working at Nucleic Acids Research, 2022, https://doi.org/10.1093/nar/gkac269
