Readout Systems for DNAzymes
Analysis of the activity of DNAzymes are usually achieved by radio-autography of radiolabeled substrates. Such traditional methods have disadvantages such as unavailability of radioactive equipment in many labs. To avoid radioactive labeling, researchers are either performing reactions at preparative scales or new readout systems are required.

UINA Lab presented how semi-preparative activity of a DNAzyme relates to its standard activity that has been performed under radioactive conditions. You may read the results at Biochimie, 2019, DOI: 10.1016/J.BIOCHI.2019.07.022 .

UINA Lab has contributed for development of DMLR in collaboration with Department of Genetics of University of Isfahan and blue-white screening system for DNAzymes in collaboration with Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Isfahan.

You may read about DMLR at Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2020, DOI: 10.1016/J.BBRC.2020.01.075

You may read about a blue-white screening system for DNAzymes at RSC advances, 2017, DOI: 10.1039/C7RA09679H

Further methods on development of novel readout systems for DNAzymes activity are currently under development in UINA Lab.
